Ratchet had failed again. Again and again. His job was endless and merciless. Sometimes when he was not only awake but asleep in recharge he didn’t know how to restart his optics or even how to slow down his laser core. It pulsed. And it’d not slow as it pulsed again. And again. And again.
And it was all his fault. He had had another memory flux, or a simulation, he couldn’t remember what, as he recharged. Anyone who walked into his medical bay with an injury was, intentional or unintentional, giving his pitiful processor a white flag of surrendering that memory for later midnight tortures.
